Introduction to Amharic

Amharic is the main language of Ethiopia, and what I imagine most of my daily interactions to be conducted in.  It's a Semitic language, the second most widely spoken aside from Arabic.

I can't help but look at the script and think of Elvish, will I really be able to write this soon? I'll certainly be speaking it, that's for sure.
